Modest Dress

|
On a sunny day, three women in modest dresses engage with young boys and girls.

Dress is a language, and our appearance reveals something about us. It may inform them of our occupation, our interests, or of our values. In addition to dressing modestly, the Scripture also encourages woman to avoid jewelry and costly clothing.[2] In an effort to obey these teachings, and avoid society’s constant changing fashions, we have agreed on a basic uniformed garb. Our goal is to be recognizable, and to portray a modest Christ focused way of life in our appearance.

Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. 1 Peter 3:3
