God intended that each one of us be born into supportive and loving families. And while this isn’t always the case for everyone, it is still His design.
God has ordained structure in the home. The husband is to love his wife,[3] the wife is to respect her husband,[4] and children are to be obedient to their parents.[5] While none of us fully accomplish our roles perfectly, our desire is that our church would assist our families in nurturing these relationships.
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4
