Community Events Planned in Newberg, OR

To the General Constituency of the Brotherhood

“In an effort to bless the community of Newberg over the Conference, the Public Relations committee is organizing two community events.  On Friday June 14th from 1-5 pm we plan to assist elderly residents with yard and home maintenance.  Then on Saturday June 15 from 4:30-5:30pm we plan to visit two rest-homes in Newberg.  Anyone interested in being involved should contact Ethan Wagoner at (509) 607-7608 or ejwagoner@live.com as soon as possible.  We need a specific count of those planning to participate for coordination and planning purposes.”

This event is also BCF's OPEN HOUSE

Stay to visit with various foundations that will be there with displays set up to present their causes.  A time of devotions will be held shortly after the benefit meal is over.

Clothing Packings are held at Brookside distribution center every Wednesday night from 7 to 9 pm, with the exceptions of the Wednesday before and after Annual Meeting and Christmas, any holiday that falls on a Wednesday and the day before Thanksgiving. What: Brethren Charity Fund's Fall Food Packing for Overseas (please bring toothbrushes to include in the boxes)

BCF will also be collecting Christmas gifts on this evening for the deprived children of Myra, KY. Per Lois Tackett of Manna From Heaven, they will accept anything for any age up to 18 that is appropriate- e.g. no romance novels. They do not need to be wrapped but if you choose to do so, please tape a note on the gift stating what it is and approximate child's age. These gifts will be delivered by the SEEK young folks who will also be helping MFH distribute them.  They will also accept small electric heaters, smoke and CO detectors.  Email any questions about gifts to bcf.mfhproject@gmail.com
