Payton Cottrell has requested water baptism and we plan meet for that on Monday evening, August 10th, at 6 pm at the church. There will be a short devotions with prayer followed by the qualifications from Matthew 18 normally presented to the applicant. We will then go to Crist Benedict's for the baptism. Afterward, everyone is welcome to come to Rex Cottell's for food and fellowship. For those coming to Rex's, bring sandwiches and finger foods. Thank you.
Maple Grove has cancelled the normally scheduled evening meeting (6:30) for next Sunday the 2nd of August.
On Sunday, August 2nd, Maple Grove plans to hold a Harvest Meeting. The service will begin at 10:00, followed by lunch in the basement at noon. We will not have an afternoon service.
Following lunch we intend to gather at the Duke Park in Troy for fellowship and supper. All visitors and young folks are welcome to join us at Duke Park. Families please bring sandwiches, finger foods, and lawn chairs. Homemade ice cream, drinks and table service will be provided. Supper will be at 5:30.
We will have volleyball for young folks. There are softball diamonds and tennis courts at the park too.

Topic: The Two Kingdoms
Walter Beachy of Plain City, Ohio who is widely known as an accomplished historian, dedicated minister of the gospel and an inspiring teacher will be speaking on the selected topic. Walter’s life has been dedicated to researching and teaching the history of the Anabaptist movement, including their doctrine and theology.
This talk will be given at the Brethren Heritage Center in Brookville, Ohio on September 11, 2015 at 7pm. All are welcome.
Stillwater has night meeting on June 28th and will be focused toward the young folks.
The topic is "The Truth About Shame" Starts at 6:30pm
Bear Creek has cancelled this coming Sunday night meeting (14th)
On May 31, the Providence district plans to host an evening service at 6:00 p.m. Steven Shankster will be sharing about Haiti, Lord willing. Bring finger foods to share in fellowship following the meeting. All are welcome and we look forward to sharing the evening with you.

Brethren in the early 1800’s in Ohio Kentucky and Indiana and possibly elsewhere were significantly impacted by the “Restoration” movement led by Alexander Campbell and Barton W. Stone. As a result many congregations of Brethren merged into what became the Disciples of Christ or the Church of Christ traditions. Come and learn more from David Eller who hjas devoted much effort in research on the subject.
The members of the Cascade Valley district living in Alaska are conducting regular worship services on the second Sunday of each month at 6:30 PM. These services are held in the home of one of the families living in the area near Wasilla. The Cascade Valley district intends to send ministerial support for worship services there three times in 2015. Visitors are welcome to attend these services as well as the regular Sunday morning services conducted by another conservative Brethren group in the area.
