The work on our new meeting house is underway. Much of the site work has been done. The electrical, plumbing and HVAC work under the slab has been completed, and the steel columns for the main beams are in place. We expect to pour the slab and place the main beams in the next few days. We will then be ready for the wood structure to be framed up.
We currently are planning a work week, the Lord willing, starting on Monday, August 10th through Saturday August 15th. Lunch will be provided each day, and overnight lodging is available. We would like to invite all to come join us as we labor together.
If you have any questions concerning the work week or need lodging, please contact Gary Garber at 937-456-3657.

Work at our future meeting house has continued through the winter at a slow but steady pace. All rough plumbing and insulation has been installed. We are presently drywalling and preparing for interior finishes. The new metal roof is completed but the metal siding has not yet been installed. Approximately half of the gravel base for the rear parking lot is in place.
It seems we are rounding - the - corner with the finish line in our distant view. Having our building ready for use by our 2016 Lovefeast is a goal that Morning Star is striving for if the Lord wills it. We sincerely thank you for all the prayer, moral and financial support we have received from our brotherhoood the last four years and the volunteer help that has been freely given. We continue to invite you to partner with us in all these areas as we press towards the goal of completion.
We originally committed to completing this project debt-free and are continuing with that commitment. The projected budget for completion is approximately $250,000. Anyone who feels led to contribute financially may send your donations to either Bretheran Charity Fund or Calvin Durham with a memo for Morning Star Building Fund.

Brethren in the early 1800’s in Ohio Kentucky and Indiana and possibly elsewhere were significantly impacted by the “Restoration” movement led by Alexander Campbell and Barton W. Stone. As a result many congregations of Brethren merged into what became the Disciples of Christ or the Church of Christ traditions. Come and learn more from David Eller who hjas devoted much effort in research on the subject.
Greetings in Jesus name!
